    • Robert Raymond Reid was elected judge of the superior court of Georgia, 1816, was a U.S. Congressman, 1819-23, judge of the middle circuit court of Georgia, 1823-25, and of the city court of Augusta, 1827-32. He was a U.S. Judge for the District of East Florida, 1832-39, president of the convention which framed the Florida constitution, and Governor of Florida, 1839-41.
