    • His godmother was Marie Gasc, his mother's sister, and his godfather was Jean Lancelot, presumably Marie Gasc's husband. As the same patronymic appears for Anne Gasc's godfather, there a good probability that Jean Lancelot was a first or second cousin of his mother, who possibly married his aunt, Marie Gasc.
