- Gentleman, of King William Co., Virginia. He was magistrate in King and Queen Co. in 1698 and when King William Co. was formed he was its first sheriff; his commission is dated 17 February 1702. There is a table in the Court room at King William Courthouse which reads: "Dedicated to the Memory of Henry Fox, First Presiding Justice of the Court April 20,1702 and also a Burgess and Sheriff of King William who with Captain Richard Littlepage jointly deeded on January 20, 1702, to the newly formed County of King William the land on which the first courthouse stood and on which the present courthouse was built about the year 1725." Henry Fox represented King William Co. in the House of Burgesses from 1712 until the time of his death in 1714.
