| Notes |
- George William Breckinridge attended Virginia Military Institute, resigned his cadetship, and took the field on 2 May 1864, as captain of Company E, 2nd Battalion Junior Reserves, becoming the youngest captain in the Confederate Army. After the Civil War he held the office of Commissioner of Revenue for several terms, county judge for six years, and was a member of the legislature in 1907.
