Notes |
- William A. House was President of the United Railways Company from 1906 to 1917. He, with his family, lived near the corner of Lake and Roland Avenues in Roland Park, a suburb of Baltimore. There was a road adjacent to his house and barn which he named Bellemore Road, a combination of two of his sisters given names.
The picture is that of the inside of a streetcar used to take his daughters, Eleanor and Louise to and from school in town. He named the streetcar, Eloise, which was a combination of the given names of his daughters.
