THE SAMUEL BROWN BIBLE
On the title page is written:
1817 December 2nd at my Death It is my Desire that Elisha Brown my son Shall have this book.
Samuel Brown, Sen.
and it is also my request that my grandson Samuel Ray Brown should Inheritt this book after the death of his father Elisha.
On the back of the frontispiece is the following in faded writing:
1780 14th day of August, James Riggs departed this life being in the fifty-first year of his age.

John Riggs Brown departed this life the 3rd day of October 1814 in the thirty-ninth year of his age.
Achsah Brown, Daughter of John Riggs and Mary his wife, departed this Life the 9th of Sept 1817 about 3 o'clock P. M. in the Seventy Third year of her age.
Vachel Brown and Elizabeth Ann Berry was Married the 25 day of October 1821.

Richard Brown, son of the above Vachel Brown and Elizabeth, was Born the 1 day September 1824.

Elizabeth Ann Brown, daughter of Elisha Brown of Saml and Ann Brown, departed this life on the 4th July 1838 about -10 o'clock P. M. in the 23d year of her age.
James R. Brown, son of Elisha Brown of Saml and Ann Brown, departed this life on the 23d July 1838 about \ past 6 o'clock P. M. in the 26th year of his age
Samuel Brown Junior departed this life on the 4th of January 1847 about 12 o'clock night in the 64th year of his age.
