  • Notes
    • John Andrews, born Morris Thorwald Eareckson, went to McDonogh School November 16, 1894, two years after his mother died. He left on Commencement Day in 1901. On November 2, 1901 a notice in "The Week" (McDonogh) states that "Morris T. Eareckson has obtained an excellent position with the Sherwood Distilling Co. in Baltimore....as Sec. to the President."

Family story is that he joined the Army - enlisted. Then got out. Had done something which he felt was a dishonor to the family name so he changed his name to John Andrews. Went back in the Army as an officer under name of Andrews.
