  • Notes 
    • It was said that he established a sailcloth business and was a linen manufacturer and merchant in Dublin. James Latrobe was raised as a Baptist, but later became churchwarden of St Mark's in Dublin.
      He is listed as James Boneval de la Trobe in John H.B. Latrobe & His Times, but in Benjamin Henry Latrobe by Talbot Hamlin it was said that he dropped the Boneval and simply became James de La Trobe.
